Dr. SNS Rajalakshmi College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), Coimbatore, successfully organized its grand Inter-Collegiate Cultural Fest “MIRARI 2026” on 28th February 2026 with vibrant participation from colleges across Tamil Nadu.

The event was conducted with due respect and gratitude to the institution’s beloved Founder Chairman, Late Dr. S. Subramanian. The program commenced with a prayer song followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp by the Correspondent, Dr. S. Rajalakshmi, along with other dignitaries.

Dr. R. Anitha, Principal of the college, delivered the Welcome Address. The Inaugural Address was delivered by Dr. S. Nalin Vimalkumar, Secretary & Technical Director. Dr. M. Daniel, CEO, felicitated the gathering. The Keynote Address was delivered by Dr. G. Gnanasekaran, Educational Expert. The morning session concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. P. Naresh Kumar, Vice-Principal.

Nearly 1700 students from various colleges in and around Tamil Nadu enthusiastically participated in the event.

The fest featured a wide range of competitions including Group Dance, Solo Dance, Group Music, Solo Music, Mime, Fashion Show, Yoga, Mehandhi, Face Painting, Nail Art, Hairdo, Connexion, Selfie Contest, Art from Waste, Pencil Sketching, Treasure Hunt, Flameless Cooking, IPL Auction, Quiz, Reels, Round Table, SNS B-Plan Championship, Short Film, and Gamethon.

During the Valedictory Function, Dr. S. Nalin Vimalkumar felicitated the winners and distributed certificates, shields, and cash prizes. Prizes worth Rs. 5 lakhs, comprising trophies, certificates, and cash awards, were distributed across various events.

The Overall Championship Trophy was won by St. Charles College of Arts and Science, Kallakurichi.

MIRARI 2K26 stood as a vibrant platform showcasing talent, creativity, and competitive spirit among students, making it one of the signature cultural events of the institution.

The event witnessed participation from 200 teams representing Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu, reflecting the wide reach and popularity of the Ideathon.

The programme began with the blessings of Founder Chairman Deiva Thiru Dr. S. N. Subbramanian. The ceremonial lamp was lit by Dr. S. Rajalakshmi, Chairman & Correspondent. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. R. Anitha, Principal.

The Inaugural Address was delivered by Mr. Naveed Narayanan, Vice President, Bosch Global Software Technologies, Coimbatore. In his address, he encouraged students to focus on innovation, industry-oriented solutions, and continuous learning to succeed in the evolving technological landscape.

Dr. M. Daniel, CEO, and Dr. P. Naresh Kumar, Vice Principal, felicitated the gathering. During the valedictory function, Dr. S. Nalin Vimal Kumar, Technical Director, distributed prizes to the winners.

Ideathon 2026 provided a dynamic platform for students to think creatively, solve real-world problems, and present innovative ideas. The event focused on key areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Sustainable Development, Smart Technologies, Healthcare, Agricultural Technology, and Social Impact Solutions. The competition was conducted in multiple rounds including idea presentation, prototype discussion, and final evaluation by experts from academia and industry.
