DEPARTMENT OF Computer Science and Data Analytics

Established in 2022, the Department of Computer Science with Data Analytics is a dynamic and rapidly growing academic unit, fostering innovation and excellence in data-driven technologies. With a faculty strength of 6, including 50% Ph.D. holders with over 15 years of teaching experience, the department currently enrols 171 students. Our program operates under a Semester-Based Pattern, emphasizing Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and a Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS), enabling students to tailor their education for careers or higher studies. The Design Thinking Curriculum promotes creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration, preparing students for real-world challenges.
The department has achieved significant milestones since its inception:
• 2022: Launched the Computer Science with Data Analytics program with an initial intake of 60 students.
• 2023: Faculty and students published 31 books, showcasing academic excellence.
• 2024: Dr.R.Maruthaveni received ₹2,50,000 in AICTE funding for a 6-day ATAL Faculty Development Program.
• 2025: Dr.D.Revathi received ₹3,50,000 in AICTE funding for another 6-day ATAL Faculty Development Program.

The curriculum spans 140 credits across 152 courses, including core, elective, interdisciplinary, and skill-based courses like Data Analytics with Pandas, enriched with value education and online learning opportunities. The teaching-learning process is student-centered, incorporating bridge courses, remedial classes for slow learners, and challenging tasks for advanced learners. ICT tools and Bloom’s Taxonomy guide instruction and assessments, ensuring holistic development.

We strive to cultivate critical thinking, research excellence, and societal impact through cutting-edge technology and inclusive education.

The BSc Computer Science with Data Analytics is a dynamic 3-year undergraduate programme offered by the Department of Computer Science with Data Analytics, established in 2022. Designed to equip students with cutting-edge skills in computer science and data analytics, the programme emphasizes innovation, problem-solving, and industry readiness through a blend of theoretical and practical learning.
